Hi Amy!
I'm so much looking forward to your gig in Malmö!! Always being locked in to your mixes. I wish I could enjoy that UK Grime and Bass sound much more often overhere.

Or how would you describe that, your sound?
I’m always switching between genres and styles so it varies, but at the moment I play a lot of garage & bassline, as well as some darker bass music and old school grime. I even throw in some UK funky, footwork and hip-hop now and then!

Your are really young for already having accomplished so many amazing things! When and how did you get into DJ'ing?
It hasn't been easy that's for sure! I loved the music that was coming up on the UK underground scene when I was about 14, in particular it was the rise of dubstep and grime that influenced me to beg my parents for a set of decks. I practiced in my bedroom every single day for hours on end, until I eventually got my first gig when I was 17. After two years of playing to empty East London bars and clubs, MistaJam asked me to be a resident on BBC 1Xtra and it took off from there!

What sounds are you mostly into at the moment?
I've recently been into dancehall more than I ever have before, as you can hear in my latest 1Xtra mix...I've also been loving the new wave of instrumental grime and jungle-inspired sounds that some of my favourite producers are pushing through at the moment.

What's a good gig for you?
If everyone is enjoying themselves and responding to the music then it's a good gig, regardless of how many people are there!

How do you like the crowd to react when DJ'ing?
I love it when the crowd get so hyped that not wheeling up the tune isn't an option. It's a wicked feeling when you know the crowd are having fun, and I always find that I play a better set when I can feed off of them!

How will your 2014 be? Any exciting plans?
Well this Friday will be my first time ever visiting Sweden so I'm excited to come! I'm also looking forward to playing at Horizon festival in Bulgaria next month, and I've got some cool shows lined up around the UK too :)
